Great find!Dec 07, 2009
By Megan These skates were a great find for my 2-year-old son. Skates this small are hard to come by, so I was excited when I found them in a toddler 6/7 size. The closure is easy to use and quick for an impatient little boy like mine. The only downside is with a blade so small, when they are sharpened they have a natural arc (front to back) on them that makes it difficult for there to be a flat spot to let them practice standing and keeping their balance on the ice. But considering there are very few companies out there that sell skates this small, it's worth it to be able to take my son out on the ice with us during skating sessions. He probably won't be skating on his own with them before he outgrows them, but for us it's worth it to bring him skating for the experience. He does love to walk around the locker area and benches off-ice with them as he feels like a "big boy". If you're willing to spend the money on skates for a very young child with tiny feet, then these are for you.

Great idea, but...Jan 04, 2010

The tounge does not open (or close) well. This means that it is hard to get the toddler's feet in. It is also hard to secure the boot comfortably because of the boot lip around the tounge. I supose the skates are a little silly (your kid will grow out of them in a matter of months). It also might be better to start your young hockey player off with (Dare I say it?) figure skates with the teeth at the front of the blade. The hockey blades look cool, but I think a 2 year old won't develop any bad habits by using blades with teeth. Really it's about having a fun time at the rink with dad.
I also think the sizing is a bit off. My son wears a size 6 shoe, but these 6-7 boots seem too small (Again the tounge issue).
Great BuyJul 16, 2011
By debg We searched for skates small enough to fit our 2 year old; these are working out great with his ice skating. Good quality for a good price. It just took a while to receive them and nervous with reading previous reviews. We did get them within a month of ordering them.
